The biennial Tokyo Motor show is one of the world’s premier auto shows.
The theme of this year’s show is “Open Future” — perhaps a nod towards the increasing importance of software in the area of self driving car technology.
The opening day for the public is the 25th — you can either buy a preview ticket for access between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m., or opt for general acess from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Note that on weekends the show finishes at 6 p.m. rather than 8 p.m.
For the following days, entry for adults is ¥1,800 if purchased in advance or ¥2,000 on the door. High school students will have to pay ¥1,000, and junior high school students and under get in for free.
