At the end of fall each year, the leaves on the ginkgo trees that line the Ichō Namiki avenue of Meiji Jingū Shrine‘s outer gardens turn a brilliant yellow. If you go between the hours of 10 a.m. and 8 p.m., the sidewalks will be lined with food vendors serving a variety of festival-type food to keep you toasty warm. There will even be illuminations in the evening on some days.
