The theme for this year’s illuminations is Jewels in my Heart. The area will be shimmering with lights and a new “twinkly light system” will be employed. There will be Christmas trees throughout south Shinjuku, as well as around 170,000 LED bulbs.
Some illuminations will switch off on December 25th but most will continue until Valentine’s Day 2023.
