I Love Ireland Festival and St. Patrick’s Day Parade 2024

10:00am – 6:00pm
Free

St. Patrick’s Day in Tokyo is celebrated every year with the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade that takes place along Omotesandō Avenue.

Schedule

The first part is an Irish cultural festival at Yoyogi Park Events Square on the weekend. It should include traditional music and dance performances, Irish sports (hurling, perhaps?), and an Irish gourmet booth where you can try Irish stout, stew, and steamed oysters.

In 2019, the event was entirely cashless — with plenty of support in setting up a card of your choice (nothing crazy — just use a Suica/Pasmo etc), including a machine to convert foreign currency to electronic yen. We’ll let you know the situation once more details are released.

The parade starts at 1 p.m. on March 12 and usually comes down the hill from Omotesandō towards Meiji-jingumae Station on the Gyre/Dior Building side of the road and then does a U-turn at the Omotesandō/Meiji Dōri intersection before heading back up the Omotesandō Hills side of the same street.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
