Chōfu City Fireworks Festival

6:30pm – 7:30pm
Free

Chōfu City Fireworks Festival happens on the grassy banks of the Tama River (downstream from the bridge on the Keio Sagamihara Line). The opening ceremony begins at 6:10 p.m. and the explosions start from 6:30 p.m.

The organizers aren’t skimping on the number of fireworks. 10,000 individual fireworks will go up in flames in front of an estimated audience of 350,000 people.

For the best views and a more relaxing experience, it is recommended to purchase a paid seat. Tickets for such seats start at ¥3,500. You can buy tickets through the Seven-Eleven ticket website.

How to get there

The nearest stations are Keio Tamagawa Station (5-minute walk) and Chōfu Station (20-minute walk). Note that the event will be canceled if it’s stormy.

Organizers may cancel events, alter schedules, or change admission requirements without notice. Always check official sites before heading to an event.
