One of Tokyo’s major attractions — teamLab Borderless: MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM* — has announced a return with an expected reopening at the shiny new Azabudai Hills project.

With construction scheduled to finish at the end of 2023, teamLab Borderless is expected to open for visitors in January, 2024.

The new teamLab Borderless won’t just be all the same artworks and installations from the previous Odaiba location transported to a new space. Organizers promise “greatly evolved” artworks as well as a host of brand new, never-before-seen artworks.

Some of the new works to be unveiled include the tentatively titled “Microcosmoses”, “Birth”, “Sea of Clouds”, and “The Sculpture of Time Distortion in a Mirror”.

The previous incarnation of teamLab Borderless at the MORI Building DIGITAL ART MUSEUM in Odaiba attracted an incredible 2.3 million visitors in a single year.

As of writing, we don’t have any information on ticketing and pricing.

Some cheap luxury to welcome you when you arrive at the aiport in Tokyo. A great option if you have luggage, but don't have the budget for a taxi.
